Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Associations (BELA) is a research and advocacy organization working on public interest litigation on environment and developmental issues.


BRAC is a national non-government development organization set up in 1972 to alleviate poverty and empower the poor. It is working in 64 districts and its main programs are education, health and income generation.

FemCom Bangladesh is a professional women’s media group set up in 1992. It works to address poverty, social injustice, gender inequalities, and sustainable development through video, other audio-visual media and popular theatre.

PROSHIKA is a national non-governmental development organization. Since 1976 it had pioneered participatory development centered on human capacity building for poverty alleviation and sustainable development in 57 districts.

Shikkha Shastha Unnayan Karzakram (SHISUK) is a national NGO established in 1994. It follows an integrated approach for community development and proper use of resources through entrepreneurship development and building sustainable institutions.

Society Development Committee (SDC) is a private voluntary development organization established in 1988 in Faridpur district. It supports the development of economically and socially disadvantaged people, particularly women, children and disabled.
